So far so good. Germany is a beautiful country. The buildings are amazing, the people seem kind, but many things scream DOROTHY YOU ARE NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE! We will take more pictures when the jet lag wears off but here are a few, most taken by A.

ALL THE BUILDING LOOK LIKE THEY CAME FROM A FAIRYTALE.

FREE TO GOOD HOME!!

A BOX OF PUPPIES OR KITTENS WE HAVE ALL SEEN A FEW TIMES IN OUR LIVES LOOKING FOR A GOOD HOME. ONLY IN THE MILITARY DO YOU SEE BOXES OF FOOD SITTING OUTSIDE OF HOTEL ROOMS LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME. WE GAVE AWAY ALL OUR FROZEN AND PERISHABLE FOOD AS WE CLEARED HOUSING BUT WE SAVED A FEW GOODIES TO TAKE TO THE GUEST HOUSE WITH US. UNFORTUNATELY THE LAST OF THAT CASE OF VITAMIN WATER WE FOUND AN AWESOME DEAL ON AT THE COMMISSARY COULDN'T BE BROUGHT ON THE PLANE ALONG WITH A FEW OTHER THINGS.
[WITH IN 1 MINUTE OF STICKING THE BOX INTO THE HALL WE ARE HAPPY TO SAY A GOOD HOME WAS FOUND]

In the Guest House

I am glad she loves to read or she would be bored out of her sweet little mind!
MMMMMMMMM!!! Daddy made me a FLUFFER NUTTER!!
I bet this pic wouldn't be blurry if someone wasn't doing a Mike Tyson impression!
Waiting for PJ story time...
Announcing its almost time to read the story...
Listening to the story...
Telling daddy and her sister all about what they missed while they were doing algebra.
It's still hard to believe this time next week we will be in Germany. The girls are doing great in the hotel. We are having a few issues with Turner Guest house and are still pretty disgusted with the cleanliness of our first room. We moved rooms which was a HUGE pain and a LONG process but that's life. I could go on and on about this place but as they say'' suck it up and drive on". We are trying to keep the girls entertained and they are adapting like real troopers. Tonight we are going to PJ story time and Saturday to the Zoo. Tomorrow is there last day of school here on Ft. Campbell so they are excited. Our housing inspection is 9am then we are pretty much finished with the clearing. The staff at Warner Park here on Ft. Campbell is WONDERFUL. They are all so kind and helpful, always there if an instant if any help with housing is needed. Well I guess I better get Ellie ready for story time.

We got very sad news tonight. Our youngest has a friend in her kindergarten class who's mom has been sick with cancer. She lost the fight and passed away last week. The thought of that poor little boy breaks my heart, its hard to imagine what the family is going thru. We have know many family who have lost fathers and husbands in the war which is horrible, but the thought of that sweet little boy without mommy seems that much more unbearable. I suppose no words from an outsider seems appropriate after a loss like this. For some reason I guess Ive become immune to the shock of death in combat. I have know many many people who have lost there husbands in war, it just seems so much more cruel to loose somebody to illness.Mostly with an innocent child involved. Thank God for all the support system, resources, and counselors the Army surrounds us with during times like this.

Please pray for this family.
